“竟然有这样的电影！？”80年代诞生的奇迹之作——新派时代剧！名匠伊丹万作失传的杰作《国士无双》，在保留痛快感的同时，以全新面貌重生！1932年1月公映的电影《国士无双》，是导演伊丹万作才华尽显的知名作品，不过如今影片胶片已遗失，只能看到约20分钟的片段。 将这部梦幻杰作进行重拍的，是视伊丹万作为精神导师的保坂延彦导演。他以留存的脚本为基础，保留原作的趣味性，融入新颖解读后，于1986年推出了这部重拍之作。以有“时代剧美术第一人”之称的西冈善信为首，曾支撑日本电影黄金时代的豪华制作团队齐聚。演员阵容方面，启用青涩的中井贵一担任主演，还有弗兰克堺、笠智众、原田美枝子、江波杏子等全明星演员助阵。

In 1701, the ruling shogun Tokugawa Tsunayoshi placed Asano Takumi-no-kami Naganori, the lord of Ako, in charge of a reception of envoys from the Imperial Court in Kyoto. He also appointed the protocol official Kira Kozuke-no-suke Yoshinaka to instruct Asano in the ceremonies. On the day of the reception, at Edo Castle, Asano drew his short sword and attempted to kill Kira after he had insulted Asano. For this, he was sentenced to commit seppuku, but Kira went without punishment. The Shogunate confiscated Asano's lands and dismissed the samurai who had served him, making them ronin. On June 7th, 1986, Prince celebrated his 28th birthday by performing for a packed crowd at Detroit’s Cobo Arena. The show was filmed and edited for later broadcast in Europe and Japan as promotion for his then-forthcoming 1986 Parade tour, which hit eight countries in less than a month. The Parade tour never officially hit the United States, with Prince deciding to test the show out on audiences in a handful of cities across the country before taking it abroad. Fortunately, videotapes of the Detroit show have been circulating amongst hardcore Prince collectors for years and have found their way onto the internet so you can witness what was arguably Prince’s funkiest tour to date.
